New Year, Old Blog

Finally, my first post for the year 2011 and also first on this blog. My new year's resolution for this year is to update this blog once in a while.

My Top 3 Memorable Shots of 2010

Pontifical Mass, Sinulog 2010, Cebu City, Philippines

After falling in line for 4 hours for the “Hawk sa Niño”, we immediately proceed to the Pilgrimage Area of Basilica Minore del Santo Niño hoping that we could still attend the Pontifical Mass. As early as 2:00 A.M. of the Sinulog Day itself, devotees gather around the Pilgrimage Area to get a comfortable seat. This is the first time I attend the mass itself which I can remember, for the past years I skip the Pontifical Mass because of the long lines of “Hawk sa Niño” but this time, we were early.hehehe.

What makes it memorable? This is the first time I shoot Sinulog with a decent camera and document the 9 Day Novena Mass and the Pontifical Mass ( which is one of my dreams ).

Wild Dolphins of Pamilacan Is. Bohol, Philippines

After spending my last 3 summers attending summer classes, finally an out of town trip together with my college classmates which culminates college life. This is also the first time i brought my camera for a vacation and on an island.

What make this shot memorable? This is my first time seeing wild dolphins up close ( 2-3 feet away) and they are awesome.

Tinuy-an Falls, Bislig City, Surigao del Sur, Philippines

Again, this trip has many firsts. First time I join a Photo Safari ( means that this trip is all about photo documenting ), I was invited by Mr. Dexter Bongo around June to join him on his photo safari documenting Tinuy-an Falls but i declined and then around September, I changed my mind and found myself that i was shooting with one who i looked up to in Travel Photography. First time to go to the SouthEastern part of Mindanao. First time to shoot a waterfall.

What make this shot memorable? after getting this shot, i almost drowned my camera by stepping on one of the holes in the riverbank. Luckily, the camera is still alive..:)
